My client, an International Engineering Consultancy Group, is seeking to recruit qualified Senior Project Planners with proven professional experience in all areas of planning. This is a hybrid role with offices available in Dublin, Cork, and Galway.

The team's planning work profile focuses on large multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects, commercial and mixed-use developments, and large-scale residential developments. Projects range from maritime area developments and renewable energy projects to transport projects and regular planning matters. They provide professional planning consultancy services to Statutory Bodies and Local Authorities.
About The Role:
Under the direction of a Director of Planning, a Project Planner provides technical assistance on diverse town planning projects, meeting with clients to ensure successful project delivery. Opportunities exist to work on prestigious and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
* BSc or MSc in Regional / Urban / City / Town and Country Planning
Essential Requirements:
* Professionally qualified or chartered (Member of IPI and/or RTPI).
* Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in town planning after attaining the qualification.
* Technically proficient with excellent working knowledge of planning legislation and policy matters.
* Willingness to learn and manage projects.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support Planning Directors and more junior colleagues on various projects.
* Collate, analyze, and interpret socio-economic, demographic, policy, and related material.
* Write reports summarizing analysis, findings, and providing clear reasoned advice.
* Solve problems and develop innovative solutions.
* Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders as a representative of the company.
* Support business development initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance procedures.
* Coordinate and manage projects including preparing planning applications, site appraisals, planning policy reviews, and environmental assessments.

* Experience in liaising with clients and providing advice on planning matters.
* Excellent working knowledge of planning, development, and environmental issues.
* Ability to conduct independent research, analyze results, and prepare reports.
* Demonstrate enthusiasm and initiative to be a well-rounded town planning consultant.
