Senior Finance and Cost Accountant
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance and Cost Accountant to join our team in North Dublin.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare journal entries related to manufacturing accounting, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in line with US GAAP and corporate financial policies.
* Prepare account reconciliations to ensure proper balance sheet valuation, with appropriate accounting treatment for potential risk.
* Maintain margin variance analysis, including production and absorption variances.
* Monitor variances to standard cost and investigate significant differences.
* Participate in monthly close activities, as required.
* Calculate standard costing of products in SAP, including updating BOMs, Routings, etc. as necessary.
* Drive consistency and standardization of cost accounting in line with Corporate Policies.
* Lead finance efforts on process improvement projects related to costing of materials.
* Provide finance guidance for customer pricing simulations, financial analysis, and modelling.
* Ensure timely closing of SAP and reporting submissions to head office.
* Act as a business partner to functions across the manufacturing site and wider finance community.
* Drive continuous improvement in the finance function.
* Deliver timely and comprehensive reporting of income statement and balance sheet, providing risk and commentary for top management.
* Prepare statutory accounts, regulatory returns, and Revenue returns to final review stage.
* Manage transfer pricing, including reporting and liaison with internal and external tax teams.
* Liaise with external and internal auditors.
* Contribute to site strategic activities, providing input and support for KPI's and organisational decisions.
Requirements:
* Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
* Ability to exceed internal customer expectations on delivery of information and financial support to achieve business goals.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Knowledge of lean initiatives and ability to drive continuous improvement.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership abilities.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Experience working in a multinational environment.
* Familiarity with SAP and IFRS an advantage.
* Intelligence reporting – Power BI, Process Automation, Design Optimisation.
