Job Opportunity: Electrical & Mechanical Estimator
We are growing our Clonmel Engineering Team due to increased customer demand. This team works with various existing and new global customers in the Energy, Pharma, Life Science, Data Centre, and Advanced Manufacturing sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Estimation: Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for electrical projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
* Quantity Surveying: Perform detailed quantity surveying to determine the quantities of materials, equipment, and labor required for electrical and mechanical projects.
* Cost Analysis: Analyze cost data, historical project records, and market trends to develop accurate cost estimates.
* Electrical Expertise: Utilize your electrical/mechanical engineering knowledge to understand project requirements and specifications.
* Bid Preparation: Collaborate with the bid management team to ensure that proposals meet client requirements and are competitive.
* Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Communicate with suppliers and vendors to obtain accurate pricing and lead-time information.
* Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and uncertainties in the estimation process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
* Documentation: Maintain detailed records and documentation of estimates, costs, and project-related data.
* Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with industry standards, electrical codes, and best practices in cost estimation and electrical engineering.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure that all estimates align with SEPAM's quality and performance standards.
Requirements:
* Qualified Quantity Surveyor/Engineer with experience in Electrical and Mechanical works.
* 3+ years relevant industry experience.
* Skilled in Estimation, bid management, and proposals.
* Interest in working on global projects.
Work Environment:
This position is office-based in our Clonmel office, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, with a finish time of 2pm on Fridays.
