Job Title: Commis Chef

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist senior chefs with food preparation tasks as directed.
* Prepare and cook dishes, following recipes and guidelines set by kitchen leadership.
* Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and equipment.
* Help with portioning and plating of dishes to ensure consistency and presentation standards are met.
* Assist with receiving and storing food supplies, rotating stock, and notifying senior chefs when supplies need replenishing.
* Ensure workstations and kitchen equipment are kept clean and organized.
* Operate kitchen equipment, such as ovens, stoves, mixers, and follow safety guidelines.
* Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, implementing best practices in food handling and sanitation.
* Actively learn from and follow the guidance of kitchen leadership, seeking to improve culinary skills.
* Assist in the preparation and execution of special events and banquets, collaborating with the culinary team.
About the Role:
* We are looking for a talented individual with previous experience as a Commis Chef or a culinary qualification. However, this is not essential.
* A passion for food, a willingness to learn, and a positive attitude are essential qualities for this role.
* The successful candidate will be able to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards are also essential.
* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, is required.
