This internship offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a prestigious organisation, contributing to impactful initiatives while developing a diverse skill set in marketing, communications, and education support.
Key Responsibilities
Collateral Development and Digital Marketing
Design and create promotional content using Canva and/or other online platforms, including videos, GIFs, and static cards, ensuring alignment with IoD’s branding.
Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and Communications to plan, schedule, and post engaging content on social media platforms, with a focus on Instagram and LinkedIn. Experience in other social media channels may be desired.
Maintain and update content on the IoD website using a content management system (CMS).
Monitor social media performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance engagement.
Graduation Event Coordination
Certificate Management including cross-check certificates and exam results for accuracy; organise printing and distribution of certificates.
Printing and set up of graduation accompanying documents from name tags to graduation lists
Graduation Day Support logistics and ensure all materials are accurately prepared and organised for the graduation event.
Support marketing colleagues pre, during and post-graduation, inclusive of branding, social media marketing and photography.
Workshop and Programme Support
Draft and manage communications for workshops and programmes using HubSpot and/or Constant Contact.
Support the Head of Learning & Education with the preparation of workshop materials, including name cards, badges, and participant materials.
Process Expressions of Interest for the Certificate in Directors (CD) Programme and assist with participant coordination.
Support with draft communications for exams
Business-As-Usual (BAU) Activities
Support marketing team with mass email campaigns, including creating and scheduling communications for various initiatives.
Attend and provide on-the-day support for in-person member events, ensuring a positive experience for attendees.
Support the team with ad hoc tasks and administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth operations.
Skills and Attributes Required
Currently studying for a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Commerce or similar degree and requires a business placement
Proficiency in Canva or similar online design tools.
Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram and LinkedIn) and website CMS tools. Experience in other social media platforms such as TikTok and Facebook would be advantageous.
Experience with email marketing platforms such as HubSpot or Constant Contact is advantageous.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a professional environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
