Job Overview:
Due to expansion, Business Platforms is pleased to announce we are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate should have experience in accounts receivable, including credit control and accounts payable, in addition to supporting the Group Financial Controller with various accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and issue invoices to client projects.
* Ensure all invoices are accurate, detailed, and comply with contractual terms.
* Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies between customer records and company systems.
* Prepare and analyse aged receivables reports to identify and resolve outstanding debts.
Accounts Payable:
* Review and verify supplier invoices for accuracy, proper authorisation and compliance with company policies.
Documentation & Reporting:
* Maintain accurate records of all communications, transactions, and payment agreements.
Compliance & Policy Adherence:
* Ensure all accounts processes follow company policies.
* Stay up to date with accounting standards.
Qualifications:
* 5 years of experience in an Accounts Assistant role. Accounting Technician, Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
* Knowledge of a financial accounting software(s) system (Xero preferable but not essential) and Microsoft Excel.
* Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles, billing procedures, and credit control.

* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
* Proactive problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy.
