Ryanair are currently recruiting for a General Manager – Ground Operations to join Europe's Largest Airline Group.
Reporting directly to the Director of Ground Operations, the successful candidate will oversee the safe and reliable operations of third-party handled airports across the UK, Ireland, France, and Morocco.
You will manage a team of Regional Managers and Support Managers who will act as local and performance representatives at each of the airports in your region.
This position is based in either Stansted or Dublin and will require frequent travel across the Ryanair network.
Job description (includes but is not limited to) Responsibility for the management and performance delivery of 60+ airports across 4 countries Delivery on performance metrics for punctuality, customer service & cost-efficiency Ensuring that infrastructural, contractual, and operational requirements are achieved in compliance with the highest standards of safety Liaising with airport authorities, control authorities, ground handling, and other stakeholder agencies to ensure a safe, efficient operation is established and maintained.
Development and implementation of programmes to incorporate changes in corporate policy, new legislative requirements affecting ground operations, and changes in traffic capacity at assigned airports.
Responsible for the setup of all new operations Chairing of weekly meetings with key personnel at each base/airport and issuing minutes and action items arising from these meetings.
Reporting of any issues that could impact the operations department and providing practical assistance to deliver a satisfactory outcome.
Ensuring compliance with all Governmental State Security requirements and management of safety programmes alongside the Safety and Compliance Department.
Responsibility for setting and achieving budget targets supported through invoice review and management.
