About the Role
We seek a skilled and adaptable Project Engineer to join our team at a leading pharmaceutical company in Cork. As a Project Engineer, you will work directly under the guidance of the Capital Projects Manager, contributing to the successful execution of capital engineering projects on site.
This is a key role where you will lead and manage critical tasks, including conducting feasibility studies, overseeing commissioning and validation activities, and ensuring the uptake and installation of process equipment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and contribute to feasibility studies for capital projects, ensuring accurate and timely analysis of project requirements.
* Manage and coordinate commissioning and validation activities, ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and industry regulations.
* Oversee the execution of capital engineering projects from planning through to completion, managing project scope, timelines, and budgets.
* Drive the successful uptake and installation of process equipment, ensuring a seamless transition to operational readiness.
* Manage change control processes and ensure smooth adaptation to evolving project requirements.
* Provide technical expertise and leadership in HVAC, CIP (Clean-in-Place), and electrical systems, contributing to the successful delivery of engineering projects.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide guidance and support across all project phases.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Key Requirements
* 5-7 years of experience in project engineering within the pharmaceutical or related industries, with a proven track record in managing capital projects.
* Solid understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and adherence to industry standards.
* Hands-on experience with HVAC, CIP, and electrical systems is essential.
* Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead projects from concept to execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.
* Proven ability to adapt to change, efficiently managing project modifications and change control processes.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage project teams and stakeholders effectively.
* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
