AML/KYC Analyst Job Description
This role is part of the KYC/AML and Sanctions Due Diligence team within the Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Department. The team supports the overall CME Group Compliance and Ethics Program and reports to the KYC/AML Lead.
Main Responsibilities:
* Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) sanctions and adverse media checks on new and existing customers in accordance with UK Money Laundering Regulations 2017 and other relevant regulations.
* Conduct initial customer AML risk assessments and provide recommendations for customers' overall AML risk profiles.
* Collaborate with CME's Legal and Compliance functions and various operational teams to resolve day-to-day KYC/AML related queries.
* Undertake daily PEP, Sanction and adverse media screening risk assessments and periodic KYC/AML due diligence refreshes for existing low-risk customers.
* Effectively manage electronic and physical contract KYC/AML documentation repositories and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory obligations.
Requirements:
* Knowledge of the UK Money Laundering Regulations 2017, JMLSG Guidelines, Mi FID II, and applicable FCA rules and sanction regimes.
* Day-to-day experience managing alerts in relation to Sanctions & Media screening as it relates to Sanction regimes.
* Understanding of the EU Money Laundering Directives, MIFID II, and CFTC.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with precision and accuracy.
* Demonstrated time management skills and analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
* Ability to communicate and influence assertively, clearly, and concisely.
* Knowledge of computer software, AML, and screening tools such as World Check.
