QTP are the largest distributor of tractor parts in Ireland.
We are looking to hire a Head of IT to help us progress to the next phase in our company's growth strategy. This role is based on-site in Mullingar, 5 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the IT department, providing a level of service that aligns with business needs and industry best practices.
2. Report to senior management and communicate with stakeholders on all IT matters.
3. Collaborate with other departments to assess their IT needs and develop solutions that meet those needs.
4. Plan and implement new solutions, providing guidance to the IT team and managed service partners.
5. Oversee the integration and smooth operation of our website, ERP, and WMS systems, ensuring efficient customer order processing.
6. Manage ICT service delivery, ensuring a fully functional, reliable, and secure environment.
7. Establish appropriate governance for IT management in service delivery and projects.
8. Develop and implement an IT strategy that supports our company mission and objectives.
9. Manage IT vendors, negotiate service level agreements, and ensure vendors meet agreed targets and standards.
10. Create and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for IT systems, services, and frameworks.
11. Oversee IT security and disaster recovery.
12. Manage the IT budget, prioritizing spend to align with company objectives.
13. Lead infrastructure rollout, consolidation, and upgrade projects.
14. Participate in process improvement initiatives across the business.
15. Stay up-to-date on new technologies that can benefit our organization.
Required Experience and Skills
1. A proven track record in IT management, with at least 7 years of experience in infrastructure, network, and applications support, preferably in a warehousing or manufacturing environment.
2. Experience extracting value from ERP systems in a warehousing or manufacturing setting, using reporting tools to inform decision-making.
3. Project management skills and experience using structured frameworks.
4. Familiarity with business processes and experience using technology to improve efficiency.
5. Strong vendor management and relationship building skills.
6. Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills.
7. Demonstrated knowledge of IT systems, technology trends, and their impact on the business.
8. A broad understanding of ICT systems, applications, and operating systems.
9. Awareness of data protection legislation and its implications for ICT.
