Management Accountant Location: Monaghan Industry: Technical Consultants Employment Type: Full-time Seniority Level: Mid-Senior Level Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis. Complete monthly project Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs). Manage month-end close procedures in the ERP system, including journal entries, balance sheet and intercompany reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. Monitor and report on budget vs actual performance. Produce regular and ad hoc management reports to support decision-making. Assist with year-end audit file preparation. Conduct daily bank reconciliations across all accounts. Prepare and submit VAT, Intrastat, and EC Sales returns. Contribute to quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting. Assist with cash flow reporting and forecasting. Complete statutory and regulatory returns. Support daily finance operations and provide backup across the finance team. Work with the Financial Controller to ensure robust financial controls are maintained. Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders as needed. Essential Criteria Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). Minimum 2-3 years' post-qualification experience in a similar industry role. Strong proficiency in accounting software. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Desirable Criteria Experience in project accounting and CVR preparation. Familiarity with ERP systems, especially Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations. Group accounting experience. Knowledge of Republic of Ireland payroll processes.
