About the Role
This critical position plays a pivotal part in promoting data stewardship, enhancing data quality, and ensuring that the principles of data governance are embedded in the site culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Global DG (Policy & Programs) team to design and deliver continuous data governance training, aligning with current and evolving required knowledge, skills, and awareness needs.
* Develop comprehensive training programs focused on data governance, compliance with regulations, and best practices for bio-pharmaceutical manufacturing.
* Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps and areas for improvement, working closely with department leadership to ensure alignment with operational needs and business objectives.
* Deliver data governance-focused training sessions, workshops, and seminars for staff at various levels within the organization.
* Evaluate the impact of industry trends and regulatory updates on training needs and program content, adjusting strategies as necessary.
* Leverage technology to enhance training delivery, including e-learning platforms, simulation tools, and virtual training environments.
Culture Building and Awareness:
* Broaden employee awareness of the need for and desire to build a mature data governance culture.
* Act as data governance advocates with data stewards, promoting cultural and behavioral changes required, why, and steps to develop an open and transparent data governance culture.
* Collect and report site data governance KPIs to relevant stakeholders.
* Establish ongoing monitoring and auditing processes to sustain data governance cultural improvements.
* Promote a culture of quality and data governance within the organization, highlighting its importance across all departments.
* Foster collaboration between stakeholders to ensure effective data governance practices.
Requirements:
* Demonstrated success in designing, implementing, and managing training programs for diverse audiences.
* Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills.
* Experience with training management systems and e-learning tools (e.g., LMS, Articulate).
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Effective stakeholder management and influencing skills.
* Experience in cultural/people change management and organizational development.
* Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., GDPR), rules, policies, and procedures such as FDA Guidance on Data Integrity, EMA Data Integrity Guide, and WHO Guide to Data Integrity.
Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in pharmaceutical/FDA regulated work areas such as: data management & operations, quality assurance, compliance, manufacturing operations, quality control, or IT.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 per annum based on location and experience.
