Job Title: Engine Mechanic
Our client, a leader in the aviation industry, seeks an experienced Engine Mechanic to provide high-quality maintenance services for commercial jet engines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform on-wing repairs, including engine removal and installation;
* Conduct on-site repairs at customer facilities when disassembly is required;
* Repair complex issues at one of the MES repair stations;
* Prepare estimates for engineering projects, including materials, equipment, and labor requirements;
* Detect faults, implement procedures, and maintain efficient system operation;
* Certify completed aircraft maintenance work according to Part 145 standards;
* Visit clients to advise on maintenance and repairs;
* Participate in InField Events worldwide;
* Read and understand manufacturer documentation;
* Perform self-reliant removal, installation, and inspection tasks on engine/QEC components;
* Take delegated technical decisions and actions for economical and on-time task completion;
* Follow company procedures and applicable Maintenance Data;
* Support quality department for audit preparation and execution;
* Confirm tasks as performed and certify Task bundles;
* Supervise valid configurations and verify new or significant changes to work scope, modifications, processes, standards, tools, and equipment;
Requirements:
* Jet engine repair knowledge with a recognized apprenticeship (minimum 3 years) or Motor trade/industrial fitter qualification;
* Vocational training consisting of full-time study and on-the-job training leading to an NVQ/SVQ at Level 3 or 4;
* NVQ/SVQ in Aircraft Engineering Maintenance at Level 3 plus further professional qualifications for licensed commercial jet engine mechanics;
* Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment;
* Pro-active and eager to learn, with a commitment to company values and ethics;
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
* Problem-solving ability in a rapidly changing environment;
