The Role
The Graduate Test Engineer position is based within the Valeo Industrial department and will primarily support senior team members in the Research, Design & Delivery of Series Production Test Solutions for New Products to meet Project Milestones. This is a diverse position where the successful applicant will be supporting all aspects of the project(s).
Your challenges
General
1. Drive Test Engineering best practices including S/W & H/W standardisation from Prototyping through to Series Production.
2. Deliver all P1 projects as per Industrial Test Engineering Guidelines (GSI-RD-H01-0000-540):
3. Provide requirements to DFT, PFMEAs & Design Reviews
4. Support Test Specification delivery from R&D Project Engineer
5. Complete Test Coverage reports
6. Deliver Technical developments to support Test requirements
7. Complete and Ensure acceptable Capabilities and GRRs on all measurable parameters identified in the Test Specification
8. Create and deploy Good and Bad Test Parts
9. Work closely with Test Tools Development and Project Teams in delivering new projects
10. Provide training to Technician/Engineering Group as part of Project handover to Production
11. Support New Production Equipment Deliveries
Software Development
1. Development/ Integration/ Testing of Product Test Sequences
2. Ensure all Software supplied by you or 3rd parties are sufficiently tested as per best practice before deploying to production systems
3. Ensure all software is version controlled and has a traceable change history.
4. Develop Test Sequences on existing Bespoke Test sequencer and NI Test Platforms.
Hardware Development
1. Integration of Test applications to Automated Production Processes
2. Liaise with P1 Design Engineers (Hardware/Software & Mechanical), Process Engineering in the Design, Development and Delivery of Test System Solutions and provide input/updates to DFT, DFMs,PFMEAs & Design Reviews.
3. Specify and Design test fixtures, considering Poka Yoke techniques, etc.
4. Support design and development of all fixturing required for your process
Validation/Qualification
1. Generation of Qualification Plan and statistical data to validate product test strategy
2. Ensure the change control process is strictly adhered to and that where relevant changes are presented to the Technical committees
3. Ensure the Install, Operational and Process Qualifications are strictly followed
4. Ensure where relevant the deviation and ECR/ECO processes are strictly followed
5. Timing Plans required for all projects
6. Best Documentation practice to be followed at all times
7. Generation of Technical & Training documentation where required
