AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.
The AWS Public Sector team is looking for a Partner Account Manager to help execute on our strategy to build mind share and assist adoption of AWS services with strategic business partners and their customers. If you like to engage at make an impact with your customers, we’d like to meet you. Your work will help contribute to the success of the Public Sector team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Partner management or business development experience in the software/technology industry
- Good presentation skills and the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross functional audiences.
- Program management skills with a focus on delivering scalable programs supporting multiples of customers/partners
- Technical acumen, with a demonstrated track record of driving emerging/disruptive technologies like open source software, virtualization and Software as a Service delivery models
- An ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree educated or equivalent
- Cloud experience or knowledge
