As part of Quality Tractor Parts Ltd.'s strategic growth and expansion plan, a New Product Development Specialist is required. This is a full-time permanent role with a competitive salary based on experience. You will report to the Head of Supply Chain.
Duties
1. Develop new products and services intended to assist in strategic planning.
2. Gather and analyze market research data.
3. Monitor market trends and information collected by the sales team to identify potential products for the development of a new portfolio and the restructuring of existing products.
4. Take new and modified commercial lines products from concept to implementation across all lines of business for the target market.
5. Remain current on market trends, product positioning, successes, and competition, and recommend appropriate actions based on analysis.
6. Provide regular feedback on product requirements for foreign markets, including product specifications functionality, pricing, and translation needs.
7. Prepare and execute local product launches and report on expectations of market size, market uptake, market share, and expected budgeted sales.
8. Define product promotion and positioning for defined segments.
9. Produce financial analyses and projections based on these proposed solutions.
10. Define customer segmentation and target groups.
11. Assess customer needs and requirements for defined segments and target accordingly.
Candidate Profile
1. Agri Machinery market knowledge is a distinct advantage.
2. Project Management experience with an ability to establish credibility and rapport with all stakeholders.
3. Degree level with a focus on Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, or NPD.
4. Familiarity with all aspects of product development and launches.
5. 2-4 years’ experience in project planning and management.
6. 2-4 years’ experience in New Product Development.
