Your Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the technical delivery of payment/cards projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time with high quality standards.
* Collaborate with solution architects, product owners, engineering and test leads to drive delivery.
* Ensure the successful completion of all major activities, tasks and deliverables pertaining to the requirement analysis and mapping stage.
* Develop and maintain detailed project plans and track progress, managing changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
* Oversee the development and testing of payment systems.
* Stay abreast of the latest payment industry trends to drive innovation within the company.
* Mentor and support team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
* 8+ years of strong experience in technical project management, with a focus on payment and/or cards systems.
* Strong experience in stakeholder management.
* Knowledge and proven experience of working with IT Software Development Lifecycle methodologies (SDLC) including Waterfall & Agile.
* Ability to build and manage relationships across business and technology stakeholders.
* Strong understanding of payment processing systems, payments architecture and industry regulations.
* Good understanding of European payments schemes e.g. SEPA.
* Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Experience in delivering business value from technology as well as communicating the value to senior business stakeholders.
* Experience working in banks across multiple product domains (e.g., Retail, Corporate, SME, Treasury).
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
* Experience with various project management tools and methodologies.
* Proven self-motivation to take initiative and master new tasks quickly.
* Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines and approach work methodically with attention to detail.
* Strong academic record including a third level degree, preferably in IT or relevant field.
