Opportunities for Health Screening Nurses – Dublin & Cork
The Construction Workers Health Trust (CWHT) was founded in 1994 by the Construction Group of trade unions affiliated to the Irish Congress of Trade Unions. The Trust is funded by a small levy paid by workers who are members of the Construction Workers Pension Scheme. See cwht.ie
The Trust is dedicated solely to the promotion of better health among construction workers by providing on-site health screenings, raising awareness of health issues and promoting healthy lifestyles.
CWHT is recruiting full-time nurses to join our health screening nurse team providing on-site health screenings to construction workers in Dublin (two nurses required) and Cork/Waterford (one/two nurse required). Our full-time nurses work Monday – Thursday inclusive 8.30am - 4.30pm travelling to a variety of construction sites, setting up screening room and conducting on average 10-12 daily health screenings for BMI, BP, lung function, finger prick cholesterol and finger prick glucose using a digitally enhanced system.
Essential Qualifications:
* Registered Nurse with NMBI with minimum of 5 years practice nurse skills experience.
* Excellent knowledge of preventative health and health promotion.
* Excellent clinical knowledge, assessment and reasoning skills.
* Works within and understands their own scope of practice.
* An ability to practise effectively within the role.
* Ability to work on their own initiative with good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Interest and awareness of innovative digital technologies to support practice.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication skills and IT skills.
* Own car and driver’s licence essential.
