This position is flexible and can be based anywhere in Ireland, but requires extensive travel throughout the country.
Job Overview
We are looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented Technical Sales Specialist to join our team. In this position, you will play a key role in driving revenue by leveraging your technical expertise, product knowledge, and problem-solving skills to address customer needs. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation, strong communication abilities, and a proven success in sales or business development.
Responsibilities
1. Work collaboratively with the team to research, identify, and qualify potential leads, business opportunities, and customer needs through various research tools and cold calling efforts.
2. Conduct technical presentations, product demonstrations, and solution workshops to prospects and customers.
3. Understand customer challenges and requirements and recommend appropriate products or solutions to address their needs.
4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, including our parent company personnel in Germany.
5. Provide technical support and guidance throughout the sales cycle, from initial contact to post-sale support.
6. Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and sales contracts.
7. Stay updated on industry trends and new technologies to effectively position our products in the market, including promoting company initiatives on sustainable and digital solutions.
8. Achieve sales targets and goals as defined by the company.
9. Maintain all sales activities, leads, and opportunities in our CRM system and generate forecast reporting as required.
Minimum Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering or related field.
2. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
3. Customer-focused mindset with a passion for solving complex problems and delivering value to customers.
4. Ability to work independently, as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment.
5. Background in engineered product sales; consultative selling style and advanced influencing and closing skills delivering profitable orders.
6. Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and objectives.
7. Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, trade shows, and events.
