A leading manufacturing company based in Co. Waterford is seeking a qualified QC Technician to join their team.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will report to the Quality Control Supervisor and be responsible for evaluating and reporting on technical & quality metrics to ensure products meet regulatory and customer requirements.
Duties:
* Undertake, record and report on factory production control quality assurance checks for incoming raw materials to finished product
* Monitor production processes to ensure they adhere to quality standards and provide feedback to production teams
* Work closely with production teams, process engineers, and supervisors to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions
* Conducting product testing, inputting data into the database, and analysing quality results to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
* Support R&D and innovation projects, including planning, testing and reporting
* Support cross-functional teams across departments driving performance excellence, innovation and continuous improvement initiatives
* Document any noncompliance and ensure that recorded compliance issues are resolved and corrected
* Assist with technical administration functions via Q-Pulse as required
* Ensure 6S is applied to all work areas and equipment
* Support environmental department with the monitoring and testing of water samples across the site
* Improve product guidelines / documentation and standard work procedures
* Assist external testing requirements for new products
* Ensure testing, measuring and monitoring equipment is regularly calibrated and maintained as per company calibration schedule
* Conduct Internal IMS audits as part of company auditing schedule
* Promote a culture of Quality within the company
* Deliver Quality related training to process departments as required
Requirements:
* Third level qualification in a relevant science or Engineering discipline or equivalent experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment
* A strong track record of team work in quality control is essential
* Excellent communication, organisational & interpersonal skills required
* Self-motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work on one's own initiative
* Demonstrate excellent IT skills
* Creativity, Flexibility, analytical thinking and attention to detail
