Technical Accounts Manager
About the Role:
Abrivia is seeking a Technical Accounts Manager to join our client, a Global Reinsurance Company, in Dublin City. This opportunity has emerged due to recent structural changes within the team, presenting a solid career path within a collaborative and longstanding work environment.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of 3-4 reinsurance accounts analysts, ensuring accurate maintenance of cedant accounting records and supporting professional growth within the team.
* Oversee the month-end and quarterly financial closings, ensuring accuracy in all financial figures and reporting.
* Manage the annual audit process for reinsurance accounting, ensuring alignment with industry standards and compliance requirements.
* Ensure the completion of all necessary reconciliations and meet both internal and external reporting deadlines.
* Provide accurate budgets and forecasts to aid strategic financial planning.
* Prepare and present insightful management reports for senior leadership, supporting strategic business decisions.
* Work closely with underwriting and actuarial teams to ensure well-coordinated financial and operational alignment.
* Ensure quarterly and annual Solvency II (SII) data submissions are timely and meet international regulatory requirements.
* Perform daily tasks to uphold control and performance standards, driving operational efficiency across all processes.
Your Skills:
* Qualified Accountant: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in insurance/reinsurance or relevant auditing.
* Demonstrated experience managing or supervising a team of 3-4 individuals.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, essential for handling complex financial data.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledgeable in accounting systems.
* Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, including IFRS 17, is essential.

Salary:
$80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
