Job Title: Business Analyst (Public Sector)

Location: Belfast, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm (37.5 hours per week), with a competitive pay rate of £18.10 per hour.
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a leading public sector organisation in Belfast. This role involves analysing complex business processes, developing strategies, and supporting key IT and data-driven initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert analysis of business workflows, data collection, and reporting processes.
* Lead the documentation of business and functional requirements aligned with best practices.
* Work with stakeholders to present complex information in a clear, structured format.
* Assist with process design, system testing, data management, and reporting.
* Develop and manage project plans to meet critical deadlines.
* Organise and lead meetings with senior stakeholders to address workflow concerns.
* Ensure compliance with programme changes and governance.
* Develop and deliver training materials for clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
* Support business readiness activities, including communications and system enhancements.
Essential Criteria:
* Degree/HND with two years of relevant experience in an IT Business Analyst role (50+ users) or five years of relevant experience in a similar role.
* Three years' experience in an ICT Business Analyst role.
* Strong knowledge of business analysis principles and ability to create detailed technical documentation.
* Experience working with multiple stakeholders to deliver successful projects.
* Excellent communication skills to explain technical details to non-technical audiences.
* Understanding of project management methodologies.
Desirable Skills:
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Visio, Power Point, Excel).
* Ability to analyse and manipulate business intelligence data.
* Experience delivering presentations and training.
