About Amazon Web Services (AWS) Support Engineer
We are seeking a talented Cloud Support Engineer to join our team at AWS. As a Cloud Support Engineer, you will be the 'Cloud Ambassador' for our customers, providing them with the tools and tactics they need to get the most out of their AWS services.
You will work with a global list of companies and developers who are taking advantage of our growing set of services and features to run their mission-critical applications.
This is a customer-facing role that requires strong technical skills and a passion for helping customers understand complex technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Leverage your extensive technical knowledge to provide unique solutions to our customers' individual needs.
* Partner with AWS teams to help reproduce and resolve customer issues.
* Drive customer communication during critical events.
* Drive projects that improve support-related processes and our customers' technical support experience.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or 2+ equivalent experience in a technical position.
* Strong understanding of networking protocols: DNS, HTTP, SSL, SFTP, TCP, and UDP.
* Experience with web-based services and applications, Apache, Tomcat, etc.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with scripting (i.e. bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
* Detailed knowledge of storage protocols: iSCSI, NFS, SMB.
* Expertise with network troubleshooting and tools e.g. traceroute.
