Our client is a well-established and highly respected consultancy within the construction and engineering industry. With a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects, they provide expert services across multiple disciplines. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a Chartered Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role offers hybrid working flexibility, with travel to various project sites as required.
Responsibilities
* Define project scope, deliverables, and technical requirements.
* Lead and manage engineering projects from inception to completion.
* Prepare tenders, supervise tendering procedures, and develop proposals.
* Oversee and coordinate on-site contractors to ensure project efficiency.
* Review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Provide creative and logical solutions to design challenges.
* Ensure compliance with construction and engineering standards.
* Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments as required.
* Liaise with stakeholders, clients, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Mentor and support junior engineers within the team.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
* Chartered Engineer status.
* 7-10 years of experience in engineering within the construction industry (consultancy experience preferred).
* Strong understanding of construction and engineering principles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general technical software.
* Ability to read and analyze technical drawings.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and management skills.
* Problem-solving mindset with the ability to resolve design challenges.
* Full clean driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
* A proactive and collaborative approach to work.
