Senior CNC Milling Programmer/Setter
Location: Co. Mayo, Ireland
Salary: €40k - €50k (DOE) + Potential Overtime
Hours: Day Shift (Monday - Friday, 40 hours, Early Finish Friday)
Syntech Recruitment are partnering with our client, a leading precision engineering specialist working within Aerospace and Medical Device, to recruit a skilled Senior 3 & 5 Axis CNC Milling Programmer/Setter.
In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines, working on bespoke component manufacturing to exacting industry standards. If you have strong expertise in Fusion 360, Hypermill, or Mastercam and a solid background in CNC machining, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, set, and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC milling machines.
Work with various materials to produce high-precision components.
Maximise machine utilisation and minimise downtime.
Interpret technical engineering drawings and work to tight tolerances.
Inspect your own work to ensure it meets ISO9001, ISO13485, and AS9100D quality standards.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support production.
Requirements:
4+ years’ experience as a Toolmaker / CNC Machinist / Programmer.
Strong programming knowledge using Fusion 360, Hypermill, or Mastercam.
Time-served Tool Maker qualification or completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship.
Experience with 3D CAD/CAM software (1+ years preferred).
Strong understanding of CNC machining centres and bespoke component manufacturing.
Detail-oriented mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.
