Job Description
Morgan McKinley, on behalf of our client, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Director to spearhead business growth, oversee commercial strategies, and build strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Business Development & Commercial Strategy: Lead end-to-end commercial processes, from opportunity identification to contract execution.
* Collaborate with engagement and operations teams to develop compelling proposals and tender responses.
* Design and implement pricing strategies aligned with market trends, business goals, and client expectations.
* Negotiate complex commercial terms, ensuring favourable outcomes for all stakeholders.
Proposal & Contract Management
* Oversee the creation and review of commercial proposals, statements of work, and master service agreements.
* Ensure all commercial documentation adheres to governance and approval processes.
* Work closely with leadership to refine commercial strategies for proposals.
* Engage with internal stakeholders to maintain compliance with company standards.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
* Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key clients, identifying opportunities for growth.
* Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure commercial alignment throughout project execution.
* Partner with finance teams to oversee invoicing accuracy and revenue tracking.
Sales & Growth Responsibilities
* Identify and assess new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives.
* Develop tailored commercial strategies for each prospect, including pricing models and contract structures.
* Lead commercial negotiations, balancing risk management with business growth.
* Work alongside sales and engagement teams to drive account expansion and cross-selling initiatives.
Market & Industry Awareness
* Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies.
* Attend industry events and contribute insights to enhance business strategies.
* Continuously refine sales and commercial strategies based on market intelligence.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in business, Technology, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred. They should also have 7+ years in business development, commercial strategy, or solutions consulting and a proven track record of securing and negotiating high-value, complex contracts.
