What We’re Looking For:We’re looking for a creative, detail-oriented Social Media Assistant and Content Creator to join the Alternative Dublin team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for writing our weekly newsletters, promoting events, creating engaging content, creating graphics and overseeing our social media platforms.
This role will be 4-5 days a week in our Temple Bar office, with occasional promo/content filming some weekends.
Your Day to Day:
* Curate and write weekly newsletter.
* Promote our in house events across social media platforms.
* Design graphics for events and promo materials, including websites.
* Oversee and grow our social media accounts, including Instagram, TikTok, etc.
* Film content at our events.
* Edit video reels for social media platforms.
* Create content for our social media accounts (Instagram/ TikTok).
* Marketing Admin: Updating newsletter and admin tasks.
* Research: Preparing research requested by marketing manager.
Skills Required:
* Ability to work under pressure - events is a fast moving industry.
* Proven experience in social media handling or content creation.
* Strong communication, and proficiency in English with excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
* Knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization for social media.
* Creative, self-motivated, and able to work independently while also being a strong team player.
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
* At least 1 year of experience in social media, content creation, or a similar role.
Bonus:
* Experience writing and editing newsletters, blog posts, or other long-form content is highly desirable.
