We specialise in supplying staff to the Construction and Mechanical and Electrical sectors in Ireland and Europe.
Our core business is the supply of Blue- Collar workers, but we are also expanding our White-Collar Division.
We also have a well-established International Sourcing division which focuses on sourcing workers from Eastern Europe with specialist skills and trades to supplement both our local Irish site workforce and increasingly to support our clients projects in Western Europe.
As part of our continued ambitious scaling and growth plans, we are now recruiting for an Operations Manager for our International Sourcing Division.
The role is based in our Cork headquarters and will be responsible for managing the operations teams in Dublin, Denmark and Poland and reports to the Head of the Division with a dotted line to the Operations Director.
The key responsibilities of the role will include: Managing a team of twelve recruitment/operations staff who are located across Ireland, Poland and Denmark (mixture of Polish, Croatian, Romanian native speakers).
This includes performance management and cost management and approval around department spend, staff expenses, annual leave, commission calculations, and all related staff matters.
Ensure the Operations team delivers the highest quality service for our clients by ensuring that we source and retain the best quality workers for our clients projects across a range of specialist Mechanical and Electrical trades (including Electricians, Pipe Fitters, Duct Fitters, Steel fixers, Shuttering Carpenters etc).
Managing all activities in relation to the sourcing and retaining of our site workforce across Ireland and Europe including database management, advertising, job boards, job fairs, digital marketing, reference checking, building relationships with candidates etc.
Manage all the compliance and training aspects of managing a temporary site workforce across a range of sites such as training certs, safe pass, manual handling, specialist tickets, work permits, Health and Safety etc.
Manage the logistics element of ensuring our workers arrive at our clients sites on time and ready for work for example this could including managing flights, accommodation, rental houses, rental cars, payroll set up, helping workers get set up with their PPS numbers, revenue set up, and banking set up etc.
Managing the overall administration and commercial documentation around the recruitment and service delivery process including candidate and client documentation/T&Cs and the management of the weekly timesheet and billing process for candidates on temporary assignments with our clients.
Preparation and reporting of all key weekly metrics and KPIs for the division.
Developing and building long-term relationships with clients and candidates, based on trust.
Expanding our client base through supporting the business development team, service delivery to our clients, building the Ward Personnel brand and networking.
Building and maintaining outstanding relationships with all internal stakeholders and fellow managers to ensure overall service delivery to our clients such as the Business Development team, Finance team, Compliance team, Directors etc Manage and support the recruitment, training, mentoring and development of our existing staff team and over time grow the overall division and team by recruiting and then mentoring new staff.
The successful candidate will: Ideally have at least 5 years operations management experience in a fast-paced and multi-tasking environment, including team management experience.
Experience in either construction or recruitment would be advantageous but not essential.
Be a dynamic, highly organised, and motivated individual with an outgoing personality and excellent people skills.
Ideally be degree qualified and have good commercial acumen and relationship building skills.
Be IT proficient and have very strong attention to detail.
Have the ability to manage and motivate a diverse and multi-lingual team and grow the team over time as the business grows.
