The TDM and Reporting Manager will manage and support the development of CRH’s Technical Data Management (TDM) systems, which are primarily used for monitoring technical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and as a reporting tool. The role requires a very hands-on approach and involves advising, challenging, and assisting plant teams to ensure the effective use of TDM systems, thereby improving efficiency, reducing costs, and supporting sustainability initiatives. The manager will also oversee the reporting processes across CRH's global cement operations and lead a small team of three professionals, ensuring they are trained and aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Lead TDM Strategy on behalf of GTS: Develop and implement CRH's TDM systems strategy, ensuring alignment with the company’s overall goals for operational efficiency, cost reduction, and sustainability.
2. Ensure Effective Use of TDM Systems: Manage and support the rollout of new TDM applications and modules, ensuring they meet the needs of CRH plants and contribute to overall performance improvement.
3. Review the use of TDM systems annually across all plants to ensure continuous optimization and alignment with best practices.
4. Ensure that the TDM systems effectively capture and report on technical KPIs crucial for plant performance evaluation.
5. Lead Reporting Processes: Implement a robust reporting framework to ensure accurate, timely data flow from cement plants to the central server, facilitating informed decision-making at all levels of the organization.
6. Prepare comprehensive reports on plant operations, providing actionable insights for process improvement and cost savings.
7. Manage and Develop a Small Team: Lead a team of three professionals, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they are effective in their roles and contribute to the success of the TDM strategy.
8. Collaborate with plant management teams to troubleshoot issues related to TDM systems and reporting processes.
9. Identify opportunities to enhance TDM applications and reporting tools, ensuring they remain aligned with the evolving needs of the business.
10. Work closely with GTS, Quality Task Force, and other stakeholders to ensure that TDM systems support the company’s objectives for sustainability and operational excellence.
11. Drives Results: Focus on achieving measurable improvements in TDM system utilization and reporting accuracy, driving overall operational performance.
12. Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared objectives, engaging and inspiring the team to perform at their best.
13. Cultivate an environment of continuous improvement, encouraging innovative approaches to problem-solving and process optimization.
Key Experience
1. University degree (Bachelor/Master)
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in cement manufacturing with an excellent understanding of cement operations and products.
3. Strong expertise in TDM systems and data management, with a focus on technical KPIs and reporting tools.
4. Proven experience in managing small teams and leading complex projects.
5. High level of proficiency in English
6. Willingness to travel abroad.
7. Must be able to work independently and with groups. Must be able to work under time constraints as needed.
