Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day fund accounting operations for a portfolio of private equity funds.
2. Prepare and review financial statements, capital calls, distributions, and fund valuations in accordance with industry standards.
3. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of fund performance, including NAV calculations, quarterly reports, and investor communications.
4. Manage the preparation and review of tax filings and regulatory reports.
5. Coordinate with auditors, legal, and compliance teams to ensure adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements.
6. Collaborate with senior management to support strategic decision-making and operational improvements.
7. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
8. Respond to client inquiries and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
9. Stay current with industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes impacting private equity funds.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional certification is a plus.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in fund accounting, with at least 3 years in private equity or alternative investments.
3. Strong knowledge of private equity fund structures, accounting principles, and financial reporting.
