About the Role: Flogas Ireland is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Energy Pricing Manager to lead the development and execution of pricing strategies for our natural gas and electricity portfolios.
This role is central to margin management and involves working closely with various internal stakeholders to ensure pricing remains competitive, compliant, and aligned with market trends.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic insights, managing risk, and contributing to the overall profitability of the business through detailed market analysis and pricing innovation.
Please note this is a 12-month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities: Pricing & Strategy Oversee the regular calculation and publication of pricing tariffs in response to commodity market movements.
Continuously improve pricing models and methodologies to enhance competitiveness and margin control.
Collaborate with sales teams to evaluate and implement new pricing strategies tailored to market segments.
Analysis & Market Intelligence Conduct detailed analysis of customer margins, sector performance, and hedging strategies.
Identify growth opportunities through segmentation and data-driven insights.
Monitor and interpret global energy market trends and competitor activity.
Reporting & Communication Prepare and deliver reports on costs, revenue, and profit margins.
Drive continuous improvements in reporting tools and methodologies.
Share market intelligence and strategic insights with leadership and commercial teams.
People Leadership Lead and support a team of direct reports, fostering development and performance.
Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Regulatory & Project Involvement Assess the impact of regulatory changes and market developments on pricing strategy.
Participate in cross-functional project work and market consultations as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commodity pricing, preferably within the energy sector, and a minimum of three years' experience in a similar role.
They will hold a third-level degree in a numerically driven discipline such as finance, business, engineering, science, or technology.
Strong data management and analysis skills are essential, including advanced Excel, SQL, and VBA.
This person should be adaptable, commercially aware, and possess excellent communication and leadership skills, with a keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to driving continuous improvement.
