About the Role:
I am working with an SME who are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Temporary Accountant to join the team on a short-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is ideal for a professional who can hit the ground running and provide essential support during a busy period.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and maintain financial records, including ledgers and reconciliations.
2. Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting.
3. Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
4. Support budget preparation and financial forecasting.
5. Ensure compliance with relevant tax and accounting regulations.
6. Assist in auditing processes and financial analysis as required.
7. Provide general accounting support to the finance team.
Key Requirements:
1. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred but not essential.
3. Proven experience in an accounting role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero) and MS Excel.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
7. Availability to start immediately or on short notice.
