About the role:Reporting to the IT Manager the successful IT Support Technician will primarily focus on providing support to staff across multiple office locations, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems, hardware, and software.Additionally, the ideal candidate will gain experience in troubleshooting technical issues, managing IT infrastructure, and supporting end users in a fast-paced environment. This individual will be proactive and customer focused while providing efficient and effective technical assistance and solutions.Key Responsibilities:Provide quality phone, email, and deskside supportTroubleshoot & resolve Level 1 hardware, software, and application issuesCarryout level 1 application and Hardware implementationsSetup New users, printers, remote desktop connections on platformsCarry out monitoring on IT platforms and log support calls as requiredEscalate calls via the Service Desk where requiredIT Asset Management(Hardware Tracking)Management of new starter IT requirementsProvide technical support to in-house and remote teams.Manage and maintain Windows environments and IT infrastructure.Support networking and comms room operations to ensure maximum uptime.Triage and Resolution of IT IncidentsIT Incident Escalation ManagementAbout You:IT related Degree or equivalent IT Certification1+ year work experience providing helpdesk, IT, managed services, or field supportKnowledge and/or hands on experience of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Back-office applicationsKnowledge Laptops / printer installation and supportFull clean driving licenseAbout Howden Ireland:Howden Ireland is part of Howden, the global insurance intermediary group, and has over 500 employees across 24 local offices advising clients on their commercial insurance, personal insurance, health insurance, life and pensions and mortgage requirements.
