Overview
The Senior Category Team Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of Category Managers that is responsible for the implementation of the regional procurement strategy. In addition to the day-to-day managerial function, the role will incorporate strategic and policy development aspects that will have medium term consequences on the operation of the function.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing & executing a detailed procurement strategy as well as ensuring the delivery of commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA) and continuous improvement projects.

Responsibilities
Manage a number of regional categories/commodities across European manufacturing sites.Identify and engage with internal stakeholders (engineering, operations, quality) to capture commodity requirements and ensure supplier qualification and quality - partner with regional Procurement Program Manager teams to efficiently transition suppliers as neededResponsible for developing & executing detailed commodity strategy:Assess Opportunity for commodity spend segmentation, commodity maturity, cost drivers, and supply market analysisDevelop Sourcing Strategy for commodity detailing projects, sourcing levers, timing, resources, and expected benefitsAccountable for execution of sourcing projects including Requests for Information (RFI’s), continuous improvement, consolidation, etc.Responsible for defining negotiations strategy including supplier profiles, commercial negotiations targets, defining switching costs, and building Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) modelsConduct or support negotiations and supplier selection - accountable for contract lifecycle management and complianceResponsible for delivering commodity productivity through price, value analysis (VA) or continuous improvement projects - responsible for supporting regional/sector counter measuresSupport supplier segmentation, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and quarterly supplier reviews for all strategic supplierswithin their commodities. Manage all quarterly reviews and key supplier meetings. Ensure creation of supplier profiles for all SRM suppliers.Responsible for commodity continuity of supply - engage with plants to efficiently resolve escalated issues and formally manage and secure supplier capacitySupport NPD Procurement teams through preferred supplier programs, Requests For Quotation (RFQ’s), and SRM to set and meet program Quality, Cost & Delivery targetsActively monitor and mitigate supplier risk including financial, capacity, quality, and complianceResponsible for forecasting, reporting, mitigating, and recovery of commodity inflationSupport Quarterly Commodity Reviews (QCR) including updated projects, metrics, strategy, and countermeasures
