As part of the Saint-Gobain Group, Gyproc Ireland is seeking a Process Engineer VIE to optimise all production processes, to achieve the best quality and performance standards within Saint-Gobain and GYPROC around the areas of Availability, Yield and Manufacturing efficiencies.
This involves focused problem-solving using WCM/Lean approach and networking with Group Experts in the areas of mixing and forming, drying, and quality.
As a VIE, your main role will consist in:
* Health, Safety, and Environment: Promoting and adhering to the company Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Policies;
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to achieve manufacturing targets;
* Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement: Identifying and resolving issues related to availability, yield, and manufacturing efficiency using a WCM/Lean approach; Implementing innovative, sustainable solutions as effective countermeasures;
* Process Trials Management: Leading and reporting on process manufacturing trials in the Board Plant and Plaster Mill;
* Technical Knowledge Development: Staying up-to-date with best practice process technology in the Plasterboard and Plaster industry and apply relevant innovations;
* Networking and Collaboration: Collaborating with Group Experts in process, energy, quality, and raw materials to drive problem-solving and manufacturing excellence;
* Customer Complaint Management: Supporting effective investigation of customer complaints using WCM methodology; Developing and implementing robust corrective and preventive actions;
* Sustainability Initiatives: Contributing to the company’s sustainability goals by supporting the design and implementation of increased recycled material usage in the plant;
* Change Management: Ensuring all process changes follow the Change Management Program;
* Data Management and Reporting: Collecting, analysing, and presenting data on completed work, including the preparation of monthly reports;
This is a 12-month mission, extendable once.

* Master's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
* A first experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
* Strong problem-solving skills with knowledge of WCM, Lean, or Six Sigma methodologies; some knowledge of FMEA or PFMEA or Design of Experiments is also nice to have.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to various stakeholders.
* Autonomy and ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
* You have a good level of written English (C1 required). Our Irish team is excellent at accommodating individuals who don't speak English as a first language, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive work environment.

You will be part of the Process Team (4 people) and in touch with a lot of other teams: Production, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain. The Process Team is part of the overall QPC Team which is much larger.
