The Manufacturing Freight Lead has oversight and coordination of the overall Manufacturing Freight Operations, Costs and Performance for our internal manufacturing sites. The purpose of the role is to develop best in class freight operations through cost, service, and process, that are aligned to our Zoetis global transportation standards and business performance targets.
With a high degree of focus on performance and partnership, this Lead role will drive change and improve performance by challenging the current situation, and actively partnering with Manufacturing, Quality, Global Logistics, and associated teams to support a continuous improvement culture.

1. Continuously strive for performance excellence through transport operations (inc. quality), customer, financial and compliance to deliver the customer promise. Identify and develop key relationships and partnerships both internally and externally.
2. Ensure best in class service level to internal and external customers and smoothen the logistics processes to provide flawless delivery of service.
3. Manage the Transportation Partners to obtain best in class service and leverage the scale of our Global Transportation network to drive service and cost excellence.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
12. University Degree in Management, Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or appropriate industry experience.
CORE COMPETENCIES:
13. Recognized and proven leadership competencies.
14. Deep functional knowledge in logistics with preferred experience managing a large scope in working primarily with freight forwarders.
15. Prior exposure to procurement activities including contract review and negotiation strategy.
16. Knowledge of GDP requirements with experience managing temperature-controlled shipping and high value goods.
17. Ability to assess carrier performance based on customer feedback and implement changes where necessary.
18. Experience leading operational changes working in a dynamic organization across different business functions.
19. Excellent decision-making skills.
20. Ability to resolve complex issues and effectively problem solve.
