IT Category Manager (Procurement)

Responsibilities:
* Develop category strategies for operational efficiencies within the IT/ICT domain, focusing on cost reduction and value addition.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of global supply markets, competitors, and product innovations to drive strategic sourcing initiatives.
* Manage multi-stream projects, including research, negotiation, financial analysis, risk management, resourcing, and governance.
* Foster strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders, and team members to ensure seamless collaboration and compliance with governance and policies.
* Translate technical solutions into business requirements and articulate industry trends to senior leaders.
* Drive change by managing multiple sourcing initiatives and leveraging commercial acumen to negotiate favourable terms with major suppliers.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in procurement and sourcing within the IT/ICT sector.
* Proven track record of leading key technology negotiations and translating stakeholder needs into effective sourcing practices.
* Excellent influencing and negotiation skills, coupled with a deep understanding of industry and category trends.
* Strong leadership, communication, organisational, and planning skills to drive project success.
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience; CPSM/CIPS qualification is highly desirable.
