Occupation Health Advisor
Morgan McKinley are delighted to be recruiting for a permanent Occupation Health Advisor for a corporate client based in Cork.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and qualified Occupation Health Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working as an OCA and be a registered RGN (Registered General Nurse).
Responsibilities
* Delivery of high-quality occupational health services to the team in a timely and professional manner.
* Coordination of First Aiders, Fire Safety Officers, and Mental Health First Responders for the business.
* Risk assessment and ensuring adequate First Aiders onsite at any given time.
* Collaboration with facilities and fire safety officers on carrying out fire drills twice per year.
* Overseeing the ergonomics programme for the business and ordering specialized equipment as required.
* Completing health & safety induction training with all new joiners.
* Collaboration with the learning department on arranging appropriate health & safety training.
* Reviewing and updating the safety statement, standard operating procedures, and relevant health & safety policies annually.
* Updating existing procedures and devising new procedures as required.
* Identifying hazards in the working environment and making recommendations to managers regarding compliance with current legislation and best practice.
* Developing and participating in proactive wellbeing education and awareness initiatives.
* Providing case management of short, medium, and long-term absenteeism.
* Managing referrals to third-party occupational health physicians as required.
* Advising on Health & Safety when required and following up on all workplace accidents or incidents.
* Staying up-to-date on new developments, legislative changes, and best practice in the area of occupational health.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
* At least 3 years of experience working as an OCA.
* Qualification as a Registered General Nurse (RGN).
