AA Euro Group are recruiting an experienced Health & Safety Manager for our client, a leading residential developer.
You will be responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety across 3 construction sites in the Leinster area.
Full clean driving licence essential as you will be travelling to various sites.
Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures in line with HSE legislation and industry best practices.
2. Ensure compliance with all relevant Irish health and safety laws, including risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), etc.
3. Conduct regular site inspections and audits, identifying hazards and ensuring corrective actions are taken.
4. Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses, implementing preventative measures.
5. Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks for site workers and management.
6. Ensure employees and subcontractors are aware of their health and safety responsibilities.
7. Keep up to date with the latest HSE training and legislation, advising management on necessary changes.
8. Carry out and update risk assessments, method statements (RAMS), and safe systems of work.
9. Ensure all safety documentation is accurate and up to date.
10. Provide detailed safety reports to senior management.
11. Work closely with site managers, project managers, and contractors to ensure a safe working environment.
12. Implement initiatives to reduce accidents, injuries, and occupational health risks.
Requirements
1. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in a construction-based health and safety role.
3. Strong knowledge of Regulations, HSE guidelines, and relevant Irish legislation.
4. Experience conducting risk assessments, site inspections, and accident investigations.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and engage staff.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and health and safety reporting software.
7. Full driving license and willingness to travel to various sites.
