Service Line: Tech & Ops
The Technical and Operations team are an integral part of the Audit & Assurance business.
They provide an extensive range of audit quality, technical accounting, audit innovation and operational services to our Audit & Assurance professionals within the practice.
About the opportunity
As an Audit Technical Senior Manager, your role will entail a variety of activities which will include some of the following:
* Performing reviews on audit consultations that the central team receives;
* Performing in-flight and post-archive reviews of audit files;
* Preparing and presenting learning and professional updates to the audit practice;
* Analysing results of file reviews to identify themes and trends in our audit practice;
* Monitoring of audit quality initiatives and related communications;
* Participate in data gathering, including interviews, and analysis of that data;
* Prepare management information and reporting to Deloitte network firms;
* Liaise with other functions (operations, talent, learning, Deloitte Network teams);
* Represent the audit quality team within the firm and foster an open and consultative culture.
Roll out of latest auditing and assurance new and revised standards
About you
Post-qualification experience in an audit practice with a record of successfully managing multiple stakeholders;
The ability to understand the needs of our stakeholders and to design initiatives to change processes and behaviours to improve audit quality;
Ability to research and practically apply technical auditing standards and regulations;
Ability to critically analyse information provided and prepare responses to queries;
A proven record of commitment to professional and client service excellence;
Ability to delegate and coach others in the team when required;
A high level of integrity and trust with confidential information;
The ability to work within a small team, understand their role in the team and be flexible to changing demands;
Ability to work unsupervised as part of a team;
Approachable and highly professional manner, with all levels of staff within the organisation.
