Job Title: Freight Sales Executive
Brook Street Recruitment is working on behalf of a well-established Freight Forwarding company based in Belfast. This reputable organization is seeking an experienced Freight Sales Executive to join their growing business.
About the Role:
* Responsible for business development and selling freight forwarding solutions to new and existing clients.
* Will involve a mix of office and field-based sales responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the freight industry.
* Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients via phone and face-to-face interactions.
* Manage the internal CRM system, liaising with customers, suppliers, and overseas agents.
* Communicate technical information and negotiate effectively.
* Work independently and as part of a team to meet sales targets.
* Source business leads and act on those provided by Sales and Operations colleagues.
Sales Targets:
* Generate new sales, including FCL/LCL sea freight for both import and export.
Criteria:
* Proven sales experience within the freight forwarding industry.
* Good overall knowledge of the global freight industry.
* Sound knowledge of import/export multimodal freight forwarding business and logistics procedures.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, including good negotiation skills.
* A strong team player with a friendly personality.
* Ability to prepare accurate and detailed quotations.
* Excellent English and maths skills.
* Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
