What is the job? Working as part of a multidiscipline engineering team on capital and expense projects throughout the plant. This position will provide you with the opportunity to develop your engineering skills on a wide range of heavy industrial plant, processes and equipment including compressors, pumps, pressure vessels, piping, filters and heat exchangers etc., supported by the most advanced computer technology available to the Process Industry. Key role features of a Project Engineer include: Collaborates with the project team to agree the design brief and schedule for a range of capital and expense projects Carries out asset inspections and appraisals of mechanical infrastructure including tanks, bins and pipe work, including reports and recommendations for asset integrity repairs Prepares concept designs, risk assessments and budget estimates Tasks mechanical designers to survey and/or as build job sites relating to design and to develop design drawings Enlists the assistance of E/I, Control, or civil engineering support where required Applies International standards including safety, quality, environment, cost and energy efficiency standards to all aspects of work Ensures that engineering design calculations are completed, maintain all documents, oversee new or updated drawings for projects or plant modifications Prepares project documents, health and safety plans, specifications, bills of materials and material purchases as required to implement the projects Liaises with the project team and contractors during installation, precommissioning and commissioning stages Ensures all equipment is registered on the maintenance management systems and project documentation is filed appropriately Reports regularly on project Interested? To be considered for this role, you must have: Degree Qualified mechanical engineer. Natural problem solver with strong mechanical aptitude.
