Job Description
A Quantity Surveyor is sought for a dynamic and expanding contractor based in Baldonnell. The successful candidate will be involved in a diverse range of projects, including refurbishments, residential developments, commercial buildings, data centres, and more.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily commercial and contract activities, including contract administration and change management.
* Negotiate subcontract orders to secure best value for the company.
* Participate in project budgeting, cost planning, and feasibility studies.
* Validate and approve sub-contractors' applications and final submissions.
* Prepare accurate monthly Cost Value Reports and present them to senior management.
* Maintain cash flow through prompt submission of Monthly Valuations.
* Draft and submit Final Accounts, including claims for loss and expense, delay and disruption, and time extensions.
Requirements
* Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying & Construction Economics or an equivalent degree recognised by SCSI and/or RICS.
* 10 years of quantity surveying experience.
* Knowledge and understanding of various forms of contract used in the construction industry (RIAI, FIDIC, JCT etc.).
* Commercial awareness, market knowledge, and strong numeracy skills.
* Strong negotiation, conflict management, and report writing skills.
