Warehouse Team Leader
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to oversee the day-to-day activities of the Warehouse and Pack Out areas, ensuring production targets for customer delivery, product quality and cost are met. The ideal candidate will apply lean tools to drive continuous improvement and process reliability in a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and coordinate the Materials team to meet production targets for customer delivery.
* Drive the use of lean tools to enhance continuous improvement and process reliability.
* Attend daily huddles to review key metrics and ensure operations are on target.
* Create a high-performing flexible team through coaching, mentoring and effective performance management.
* Ensure regular team communications and engagement among all material handling personnel.
* Review KPIs through visual management tools and coordinate training for assigned tasks across all areas.
* Responsible for performance management and training of direct reports.
* Ensure timely completion of performance reviews and offer opportunities for professional development plans (PDPs).
* Ensure all team members are fully trained in their roles and support development of standard work, documentation and procedural activities as needed.
* Communicate warehouse and materials information effectively to relevant departments.
* Coordinate with Workcell Leaders and Shift Team Leaders to ensure all shipments are ready and available for shipping (OTIF 100%).
* Work with the Supply Chain Department to plan resources, material, shipping and deliveries to support weekly operations schedules.
* Lead the area 6S program to resolve housekeeping, GMP and safety issues in a timely and systematic manner, meeting company safety, environmental and quality initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with equipment, area cleaning, inventory control and barcoding systems according to cGMP requirements.
* Manage offsite storage vendors to ensure compliance with standards and site regulatory requirements.
* Manage consumable KANBAN levels within the on-site warehouse.
* Manage environmental and pest control in the warehouse and packout areas.
* Support all company safety and quality programs and initiatives.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
* Ensure compliance with learnings from GMP audits and training events.
* Manage internal and external audits to complete ACA in prescribed timelines.
Experience and Education Requirements:
* Level 7 management or relevant supervisory management qualification desirable.
* Experience in operations essential.
* Previous people management experience.
* Ability to motivate self and others.
* Excellent initiative and decision-making capability.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
