Abbott Diabetes Care
The Abbott Diabetes Care division based in Donegal Town manufactures FreeStyle blood glucose test strips and FreeStyle Sensors for use in diabetes management. Among Abbott Diabetes Care leading brands are the FreeStyle Precision, FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Libre system.

Job Responsibilities
You need to be a master multitasker Your goal is to manage a team of operators while planning day to day production activities.
Key Tasks:
* Diagnose/fault-finding of any maintenance issues and provide solutions to remedy the problem.
* Ensure that all maintenance records are correctly completed in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures.
* Identify and recommend improvement to equipment and systems to enhance efficiency.
* Ensure timely completion of training records/status to ensure compliance with the ISO training system.
* Lead and support Continuous Improvement (CI) Initiatives whilst providing encouragement, motivation and support to team members.
* The Process Lead is also responsible for achieving key department metrics and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
* Coach/mentor team members on effective performance and identify and address development needs; complete performance reviews with team members.
* Ensure adherence to 6S in the Operation areas ensuring the department conducts its business in a manner designed to be productive and protective of human health, safety and the environment.
* Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience
- Third level qualification or trade certificate in an Engineering/ Science / Manufacturing discipline.
- Minimum 3 years work experience in an Engineering / Manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong technical experience in mechanical, electrical, controls engineering
- A strong communicator
