We are presently recruiting for a Site Manager/ Foreman for our clients in Tralee, County Kerry. Working on one of the largest construction projects ever to commence in Kerry, this position will be for roughly 2 years and will require you to work on all aspects of site management and to ensure project is brought in on time and within budget. You will be responsible for all staff and equipment and will act as point of contact with staff and engineers.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage daily and weekly work plans aligned with the project programme.
2. Coordinate plant, labor, and material requirements to avoid delays.
3. Sequence operations efficiently, including excavation, formwork, rebar installation, and concrete pours.
4. Plan plant movement and manage access routes to avoid site congestion.
5. Allocate tasks to the workforce, ensuring optimal productivity.
6. Manage and maintain plant usage logs and ensure efficient deployment.
7. Ensure works are carried out to the required design specifications and standards.
8. Ensure compliance with RAMS and site-specific safety requirements.
9. Maintain daily site diaries, capturing work progress, workforce levels, and plant usage.
10. Record concrete pour details, including delivery times and batch information.
11. Report any delays, issues, or design conflicts to the Project Manager.
12. Track and log variations for commercial report to the Project Manager & Qs.
Qualifications and experience:
1. 5 Years’ experience of planning, directing and coordination of projects on site
2. A related construction qualification, either HNC, Degree or similar
3. Strong IT and communication skills.
Salary is in the region of €70 – €80,000 plus company van, accommodation when needed and additional perks.
