About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Regional Club Support Officer to join our team in Leinster. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in delivering and coordinating Club Support Initiatives in Leinster, and contribute to the broader Development and Club Support Team.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
* Supporting clubs in the region with club management, planning, membership development, governance, and equality using Golf Ireland's guidance resources and processes.
* Delivering Golf Ireland's club support initiatives in golf clubs across the region in line with the strategy and operational plan.
* Implementing Golf Ireland's golf development initiatives in golf clubs across the region in line with the national strategy and operational plan.
* Building strong relationships with key stakeholders across the region.
* Coordinating educational workshops, seminars, and webinars as requested.
* Working closely with the regional team in Leinster and the overall Development and Club Support Team.
* Responding to enquiries in a timely manner and maintaining accurate records.
* Providing occasional support with the delivery of regional tournaments as required.
* Recruiting, retaining, and developing a network of volunteers, PGA Professionals, and Community Golf Instructors who deliver opportunities to participate in golf activities.
* Collaborating with the Golf in the Community Officers.
* Signposting clubs to additional support within Golf Ireland where necessary.
* Promoting the Women in Golf Charter and Sports Inclusion Disability Charter within Golf Clubs.
* Contributing to Golf Ireland's Development & Club Support strategy and planning.
* Monitoring and reviewing the impact of development and club support initiatives in the region.
* Maintaining excellent records and providing regular progress updates.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about golf and has experience working in sports development. The successful candidate will be required to travel regularly within the region and have a full clean driving license.
We are looking for a self-starter who can work independently as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing their workload effectively. A strong understanding of golf and golf clubs is an advantage, but not essential.
