Research Support Officer - Clinical Cancer Research @ UCC

Position Summary
The successful candidate will be subject to the direction and supervision of the Pharmacist Executive Manager, or delegate, and will participate in the delivery of a comprehensive and high-quality pharmacy service as part of a punctual, dedicated and professional team.
The post holder will work within the Cancer Clinical Trial Pharmacy Services and the Aseptic Compounding Unit under the direction of the Senior Pharmacist (Clinical Trials) and Chief 2 Pharmacist (ACU).
They will:
Contribute to the organisation of provision of pharmaceutical input into clinical trials within the Pharmacy Department.
Manage clinical trial logs and data as required.
Ensure the safe and effective use of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs) within the Hospital in accordance with clinical trial protocols, national and international standards and laws.
Manage the dispensing and recording of expanded access and compassionate use medicines.
Participate in Aseptic based pharmacy services as required, in conjunction with Aseptic Compounding Unit (ACU) Pharmacy staff.
Support the delivery of a high-quality Aseptic Compounding Service, under the management of the Aseptic Compounding Services Manager and Head of Pharmacy.
Collaborate and co-ordinate service delivery with other Senior Pharmacy Technicians and Service Managers to ensure a high level of teamwork in the provision of an efficient, safe and cost-effective Pharmacy service.

Salary: €55,142 p.a. Personal Rate
