Job Overview:
Our client, a prestigious hotel based in South Dublin is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Manager (Business Development Manager) to join their dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, securing new business opportunities, and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts. This role requires a proactive approach to sales strategy, market analysis, and account management to maximize profitability and market share.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
1. Achieve revenue targets across Rooms, F&B outlets, and Meeting & Conference Rooms.
2. Develop and implement strategies to grow key accounts and capture market share from competitors.
3. Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts and actively pursue new business opportunities.
4. Conduct regular sales calls and client meetings to assess needs and present tailored solutions.
5. Secure increased overall spend year-over-year from key accounts.
6. Identify and pursue additional opportunities in the UK market.
7. Build rapport with national DMCs and leverage market intelligence for competitive advantage.
Sales Strategy & Negotiation:
1. Ensure timely contracting and rate strategy execution with General Manager approval.
2. Align sales efforts with overall business goals and market trends.
3. Participate in relevant FAM trips and represent the brand effectively.
Client & Market Management:
1. Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and trends.
2. Maintain and update the PAMP database monthly to track performance.
3. Ensure brand consistency and global messaging across all client interactions.
4. Work closely with the wider sales team to optimize synergy opportunities.
Customer Service & Brand Representation:
1. Provide exceptional client service, incorporating value-added services to enhance customer experience.
2. Monitor and improve service and teamwork within the sales department.
3. Represent the company at industry events and networking opportunities.
4. Stay informed about PR and marketing activities to align sales initiatives with brand positioning.
Qualifications & Skills:
1. Proven track record in sales and business development within the hospitality industry.
2. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
3. Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
4. Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is a plus.
5. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
