Electrical Engineer
The successful Electrical Engineer will have worked as a Plant/EI engineer supporting plant Electrical/Instrument maintenance tasks. A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably within facilities management or a related industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems and equipment.
Diagnose faults in electrical systems and implement corrective measures.
Respond quickly to emergency electrical failures and outages.
2. Design and Implementation:
Design and specify electrical systems for new projects and renovations.
Ensure electrical designs comply with national and local regulations and standards.
Develop and oversee the implementation of electrical project plans.
3. Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Maintain accurate records of electrical work and compliance documentation.
Conduct risk assessments related to electrical installations.
4. Collaboration:
Work closely with the facilities management team to integrate electrical systems with other building systems.
Liaise with contractors and vendors for electrical works and services.
5. Upgrades and Improvements:
Identify opportunities for facility electrical system improvements for efficiency and sustainability.
Assist in the planning and budgeting for electrical upgrades and projects.
6. Training and Supervision:
Provide guidance and training to junior staff and maintenance personnel on electrical systems.
Supervise subcontractors and field personnel during electrical installations and repairs.
Experience with building management systems (BMS) and automated control systems is a plus.
Skills:
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and lighting design.
• Proficiency in electrical design software and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
